We have had a throughly enjoyable, albeit exhausting wedding season and we loved every last bit of it!
Fabulous venues, beautiful Brides, adorable Bridesmaids and groovy Grooms! Heres a toast to all of you who chose The Blacksmiths Daughter to make sure your wedding day was as beautifully dressed with flowers as you were in all your stunning wedding outfits. You all came to us with your visions, some clear, some slighly cloudy, and it was a real pleasure to work with you to create your perfect day.
Left home at 2.30am yesterday with our marmalade sandwiches and SatNav on auto. The weather forcast was good and we kicked it to the tunnel. Off we set on Placido Domingo - cute how the trains have names, and settled down for half an hours shut eye. Little did we know!!l The brakes seized on the train about 10 minutes from Calais and there we sat - for 3 hours. Thank goodness for the sandwiches, and the fantastic Eurotunnel team which kept us well informed and topped up with H2o... Emerged from the train into brilliant sunshine, some 4 hours behind schedule and promptly hit road works! Oh Life, but happy to be in the sun and looking forward to finding some great products to share with you, we sang our way through it. We eventually arrived - 5 hours behind now! After topping up with caffeine and more sandwiches, we found what we wanted, the most beautiful pots and baskets, gorgeous Christmas decorations and lots more. With all the goodys safely packed and wrapped we loaded and and left the Mainland with the tunnel firmly in our minds!. 23 hour day - our pleasure!
